1. Accept the task book
The task book for forming plastic parts is generally proposed by the part planner, and its content is as follows:
1. A formal production drawing that has been approved and signed, indicating the trademark and transparency of the plastic used.
2. Plastic parts instruction manual or skill request.
3. Output value.
4. Sample of plastic parts.
The general mold planning task book is proposed by plastic parts technicians based on the task book for forming plastic parts, and mold planners plan molds based on the task book for forming plastic parts and mold planning.
2. Collect, analyze, and digest initial data
Collect and organize information on component planning, forming skills, forming equipment, mechanical processing, and special processing for use in mold planning.
1. Digest plastic part drawings, understand the purpose of the parts, analyze the technical requirements, scale accuracy, and other skills of plastic parts.
For example, what are the requirements for the appearance shape, color transparency, and application function of plastic parts? Is the structure, slope, and embedded condition of the plastic parts reasonable? The degree of acceptance of forming defects such as welding marks and shrinkage holes? Is there any post-processing such as coating, electroplating, bonding, and drilling.
Select the scale with the highest precision for plastic parts and analyze it to see if the estimated molding service is lower than that of plastic parts, and whether it can produce plastic parts that meet the requirements. In addition, it is necessary to understand the plasticization and molding skill parameters of plastics.
2. Digest skill data, analyze whether the requirements for forming methods, equipment types, data standards, mold construction types, etc. proposed in the skill task book are appropriate, and whether they can be executed.
The molding materials should meet the strength requirements of plastic parts, with good fluidity, uniformity, isotropy, and thermal stability. According to the purpose of plastic parts, the forming materials should meet the requirements of dyeing, metal plating conditions, decorative functions, necessary elasticity and plasticity, transparency or opposite reflection functions, adhesive properties or weldability.
3. Determine the molding method
Choose direct pressing method, casting pressing method or injection method.
4. Select molding equipment
It is necessary to be familiar with the functions, standards, and characteristics of various molding equipment based on the variety of molding equipment used.
For example, regarding the injection machine, in terms of standards, the following should be understood: injection capacity, locking pressure, injection pressure, mold equipment scale, ejection equipment and scale, nozzle hole diameter and nozzle spherical radius, sprue sleeve position fixing ring scale, maximum and minimum mold thickness, template stroke, etc. Please refer to relevant parameters for details. To begin estimating the external dimensions of the mold, determine whether the mold can be equipped and used on the selected injection machine.
